Bond groups
Bond has over 40 working groups with over 3,000 members, each focusing on key thematic areas in the development and humanitarian sector. Join these communities of practice to discuss challenges, share resources and network with other professionals. Some groups also undertake joint advocacy and influence policymaking. Groups primarily meet online, with occasional in-person meetings. Our groups are inclusive and made up of a diverse range of members. Bond members are invited to join as many groups as they wish.

The group shares information and best practice on engaging with the EU, be it influencing policy or raising funds for development or humanitarian programmes. It helps maintains links between UK CSOs, the UK Government, primarily through the FCDO’s Europe Department, the European Commission and CONCORD – the European confederation of relief and development NGOs. The group helps ensure UK CSOs can continue to access funding from the EU post-Brexit, lends advice on technical aspects of engaging with the EU, either in Brussels or with the Delegations, and facilitates conversations with UK-based EU policy makers. The group has regular webinars and roundtables open to all members to help further develop EU relations.

A brief summary on the safeguarding group

Heading test This working group focuses on shaping the quantity and quality of UK aid, as well as monitoring global processes around international aid and development. We use this space to share intel, research, convene and coordinate advocacy efforts, including around the impact of the 2025 UK ODA cuts.
