The Conflict Policy Group exists to provide a forum for discussion within and between the peacebuilding, development and humanitarian communities as well as with the UK government. It aims to promote best practice on what works to address conflict and fragility and work effectively in fragile contexts. Engagement with UK policy makers on this best practice happens with the CSSF, FCDO and where relevant parliament, particularly parliamentary committees.
The group’s current priorities include UK security and conflict policy, conflict sensitivity, climate and conflict. The CPG is affiliated with the Bond Humanitarian Group and also works with Gender Action for Peace and Security (GAPS) on women, peace and security issues.
