Bond’s CEO Stephanie Draper to step down in the autumn 

After nearly four and a half years in the role, Stephanie Draper will be stepping down as CEO of Bond, the UK network for organisations working in international development and humanitarian assistance.  

Stephanie has achieved much during her tenure at Bond, leading the sector through the pandemic, the merger of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and the Department for International Development (DFID), dramatic cuts in the UK aid budget, and has helped set the UK INGOs pathway towards locally led development, decolonisation and system change.  

Bond, and its board of trustees and members, are grateful for the leadership shown by Stephanie during this critical period.  

Kate Sayer, Chair of Bond’s board of trustees said:

Stephanie Draper, CEO of Bond said:

“I have loved my time at Bond and working with such a talented and diverse group of members. I care passionately about our purpose and mission, the exciting and important work that we are doing and our direction of travel that I believe to be the right one. I will be sad to leave but know the time is right. Going forward, I will be using my strengths in a different way to contribute to the systems change needed to get to a just and sustainable future.”

In the coming weeks, Bond will begin to process of recruiting its next CEO.  

Stephanie will leave Bond in the autumn.
