Rainatow Sow is executive director at Make Every Woman Count, a small organisation established in 2010 to facilitate access to information through the monitoring of progress and challenges in securing the rights of women in Africa by holding African governments accountable to gender equality.
She has over 10 years of experience working with AU, UN, EU, international organisations, CSOs, and policy-makers with a focus on advocacy, strategies, project design, research and policy. Her commitment and passion for women’s rights in Africa and around the world have earned her recognition such as being awarded the “Most Inspiration Woman of the Year 2012 “by Women4Africa. She was also named “One of the 20 Youngest Power Women in Africa 2012″and one of the “20 Young Builders of Africa of Tomorrow 2014 ” by Forbes Magazine. She was also named one of the BBC 100 Women both in 2013 and 2014.
