Emma Cain is ADD International’s Head of Learning and Accountability and is responsible for demonstrating that the organisation’s work is effective in achieving independence, equality and opportunity for disabled people living in poverty in Africa and Asia. She is also working with colleagues to strengthen a culture of learning across the organisation, both to strengthen practice, and to ensure that the voices and experience of persons with disabilities are present in all aspects of ADD International’s programming and policy development.
She has 25 years’ experience of programme and policy work within development organisations and as a consultant. She has worked extensively on disability rights, inclusion and intersecting inequalities, supporting the development and evaluation of programmes in this area, and producing a number of key influencing papers, including submissions to the UK Parliament International Development Sub-Committee.
