Dr Angela Crack is Reader in Civil Society and Associate Dean of Research at the University of Portsmouth, UK. She is the co-author of Development NGOs and Languages: Listening, Power and Inclusion (Palgrave 2020). She specialises in the role of language, translation and cultural knowledge in the relationships between NGOs and communities; as well as NGO accountability and self-regulation.
