Andrew studied MA in Geography at Pembroke College, the University of Oxford before starting a career in international development at Save the Children UK. He first worked in the Horn of Africa, then Central America. Andrew became director of the international charity Harvest Help (now Self Help Africa) spending 10 years with the organisation implementing development projects across four countries in Africa.
Driven by a strong belief in creating employment opportunities for young people, Andrew co-founded Build It International in 2007. Andrew was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s New Year honours 2020 for services to education in Zambia.
