Alexandrine Pirlot de Corbion manages Privacy International’s strategic portfolio aimed at ensuring that innovative solutions serve individuals and communities rather than state power and corporate exploitation. She is responsible for the overall delivery of the portfolio and its development. In addition, she is engaged in PI’s work with the development and humanitarian sector. She recently co-authored a study published by the ICRC and PI which explored the risks associated with the use of data and new technologies in the humanitarian sector, “The Humanitarian Metadata Problem: “Doing No Harm” in the Digital Era”. Working with the Privacy International Network, she engages with global partners to build expertise on law and technology, to implement strategies for research and investigation of threats and abuses to privacy and human dignity, and to advocate and campaign for change.
