Adam Pickering is international policy manager for Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) – a leading international civil society organisation that seeks to create an enabling environment for the development of civil society through the provision of financial and advisory services for donors and charities and through research and advocacy.
Adam is responsible for developing global policy positions for CAF and writes and speaks widely on global trends in philanthropy and the legal environment for charities and donors. Adam is part of CAFs in house think-tank, Giving Thought and produces content ranging from academic research papers to articles and blogs. Previous to working at CAF Adam worked for the National Council of Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) – Britain’s leading association of charities and for the Centre for Public Scrutiny – a think-tank which focuses on accountability and transparency in government.
