Sue Coe Consulting
I have worked in international development for 35 years. My specialisms are rights-based disability inclusion (as well as other forms of social inclusion) and pragmatic programme design/management/monitoring & evaluation. I also have extensive experience in learning processes, action research, institutional fundraising, organisational/people management, communications, policy and influencing work.
I was an Associate Bond Associate Trainer on the programme effectiveness strand from 2016-2023 delivering courses on Introduction to Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL), Planning and Practice in MEAL, Tools for MEAL and Impact Assessment. I am qualified in training course design and practice and can offer training (in-person and/or online) on a range of topics:
· disability inclusion: especially for mainstream organisations
· monitoring, evaluation and learning: introduction to founding principles and concepts; planning/practice/M&E systems: qualitative tools for M&E; logical frameworks
· open to training on other topics - e.g. institutional fundraising, programme design and management, feel free to get in touch for a discussion!
In delivering training my aim and passion is to see increased participant knowledge, skills and confidence as a result of every course. My training style is practical, facilitative and pragmatic. I aim to create relaxed training room environments (whether virtually or in-person) to aid participant learning by promoting an enjoyable experience - it helps achieve course learning outcomes. An example of my training design is this one-day course on disability inclusion that has been successfully and extensively delivered across the world https://www.worldvision.org.uk/about/publications/travelling-together/
I was on the staff of several large international NGOs for 23 years - World Vision UK, Practical Action (then known as ITDG) and VSO in Tanzania. Since 2011 I have been a freelance consultant, successfully delivering more than 135 assignments for over 50 organisations. I am experienced in supporting a wide range of technical sectors (including livelihoods, WASH, civil society empowerment, education, health and advocacy) in countries across Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
I can undertake a wide range of consultancy assignments – training; programme development/management/monitoring & evaluation; learning processes; action research; strategic planning; communications; fundraising proposal/report writing; policy/influence processes; event facilitation.
